To help protect our community from internet-based threats and unwelcome content, Biola employs web filtering and security solutions on Biola’s internet connection using a Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewall on-site and the cloud security platform Cisco Umbrella.
Cisco Umbrella analyzes web content and classifies sites into categories that best describe them. Biola then blocks a subset of these categories that have been determined inappropriate for our community based on our code of conduct and community standards. Our on-site firewall will further inspect traffic permitted by Cisco Umbrella for security threats.
