How to Enable Google 2-Step Verification
Body
Purpose
This page explains how to enable (enroll in) Google 2-Step Verification (2SV) for a Google workspace account. While standard user accounts use Microsoft SSO & MFA, department accounts and student groups use 2SV to secure Google accounts.
Introduction
Google 2-Step Verification adds an additional layer of protection by requiring, as Google says, something you know (your password) AND something you have (your mobile phone) to access your account from a new device. For more information about Google 2-Step Verification, please see Google 2-Step Verification for Biola.
