How to Forget a Network on a Computer

Purpose

This article provides instructions on how to forget a wireless network connection on a Mac or Windows computer. It includes steps for both Mac and PC platforms.

 

Instructions

Forgetting a Wireless Network on Mac

  1. Click on the Apple logo in the top-left of the screen and select System Preferences from the drop-down menu.
  2. Select the Network option.
  3. Select WiFi from the navigation bar on the left of the window.
  4. Click the Advanced button on the bottom-right of the window.
  5. Select the desired network to forget and click the minus () button towards the bottom-left of the window. If you’re asked to confirm, click Remove.
  6. Click the OK button.
  7. Click the Apply button.
  8. To re-connect to a Biola wireless network, visit our page on how to connect to the Biola NetID wireless network.

Forgetting a Wireless Network on PC

  1. Click the Start menu.
  2. Search for and select Wi-Fi Settings from the search results.
  3. Click Manage known networks.
  4. Select the desired network(s) to forget and click the Forget button.
  5. To re-connect to a Biola wireless network, visit our page on how to connect to the Biola NetID wireless network.
