How to Connect to the Biola-NetID Wireless Network

Purpose

This page describes the process of how to connect to the Biola-NetID wireless network.

 

Mac

  1. Click on the WiFi icon towards the top-right of the computer and select Biola-NetID.
  2. Type in your NetID or Biola Email and password and click Join.
  3. If you are asked to verify a certificate for the Biola-NetID network, click Continue.
  4. If you are asked to type in an administrator's credentials to verify the certificate, enter your computer's user account name and password and click Allow.

iOS

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Select Wi-Fi.
  3. Select Biola-NetID.
  4. Type in your NetID or Biola Email and password and press Join.
  5. Press the Trust button towards the top-right to trust the network certificate.

PC

  1. Click the Wi-Fi or Internet icon towards the bottom-right of the screen (on the taskbar) and select Biola-NetID.
  2. Click the Connect button.
  3. Type in your NetID or Biola Email  and password and click OK.
  4. Click the Connect button to accept the network certificate.

Android/Chromebook

  1. Press the Home button, and then press the Apps button. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Select WiFi.
  3. Select Biola-NetID or Biola Email.
  4. Make sure EAP method is set to PEAP.
  5. Make sure Phase 2 authentication is set to None.
  6. Note: In some cases, None is not a select-able option. If this is the case, choose MSCHAPv2.
  7. Under CA Certificate, select Do not validate or Trust on first use.
  8. Under Domain, enter network-access.biola.edu
  9. Under Identity, enter your NetID.
  10. Leave anonymous identity blank.
  11. Enter your NetID password in the password textbox.
  12. Click Connect.
  13. If prompted to accept a network certificate, do so.
