How To Remove Old Crashplan Data from an Apple Computer

This article outlines how to remove old Crashplan data on Apple computers as this data can occupy a lot of storage space and is also located in a hidden folder.

Prerequisites: 

  • A Biola issued Apple computer that is using Crashplan for data backup.
 

Instructions

Steps

  1. Select Go in the top toolbar
  2. Select Go to Folder
  3. Type "/Users/[YourUserName]/Library" in the prompt
  4. Select Application Support
  5. Select Crashplan
  6. Select upgrade folder
  7. There should be a few hundred or so copies of a folder called "15252000061121_23.1704829636147"
    • Highlight ALL BUT ONE - right click and select move to trash
  8. Empty the Trash​​​​​​​
