What software is installed in the Biola Computer Labs?

Purpose

Biola Computer Labs are primarily intended to support academic courses held in lab classrooms. To ensure that lab computers meet instructional needs, Biola IT installs software based on faculty requests.

Computer Lab Software

Each year, Biola IT contacts faculty scheduled to teach in computer labs to gather updated software requirements. Because lab computers may be wiped and reimaged, only software requested for the current term will be installed. Software from previous semesters will not be retained unless re-requested.

You can always expect the Microsoft Office suite and a web browser to be available on all lab computers.

Requesting New Software

Faculty and administrative staff may use the Computer Lab Setup Request form to request new software for a computer lab. Requests can be submitted at any time, but earlier submissions help ensure timely installation.
