How to Use a Different Account with Cisco VPN

Some users at Biola University have multiple accounts they need to use when signing into Cisco AnyConnect. During the sign-in process, Entra ID will ask if you want it to remember your session. If you select this option, it will automatically log you in and bypass any opportunity to sign in as another user. This page shows how to revoke all sign-in sessions for a specific account so that you can choose which account to sign in as.

Prerequisites: 

  • User must have a Cisco AnyConnect account.
 

Instructions

Step 1: Sign out of User Sessions

  1. Sign in to mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info using the credentials to the account you wish to stop signing in as.
  2. Click Sign out everywhere at the bottom.
  3. Click OK to sign out of all active sessions for this account.
    • Note: You will be signed out of all sessions on all devices that have remembered this account. Make sure you know the credentials for this account before clicking OK.

Step 2: Sign in as the Desired User

  1. Open Cisco AnyConnect.
  2. You should see an Entra ID SSO pop-up window.
  3. If you need to log in with a Local account:
    1. Drag the Entra ID SSO pop-up window to the side.
    2. Click the pop-up window titled Cisco AnyConnect | vpn.biola.edu with a Group: drop-down menu.
    3. Click the drop-down menu and select Local.
    4. Sign in using your local credentials.
  4. If you need to log in with an Entra ID account:
    1. Click the Entra ID SSO pop-up window.
    2. Under the Biola logo you should see which account AnyConnect is trying to log in as. If this isn't the correct account, click the left arrow icon to the left of the account name.
    3. Click + Use another account.
    4. Sign in using the desired Entra ID account.
