How to resolve restoring access to your personally owned Microsoft Office license after linking your Microsoft account to your @biola.edu account

What Happened?

Microsoft changed how Office licensing is managed. All Microsoft accounts that use @biola.edu are managed as institutional (Biola owned) accounts. Since the original Office license is personally owned, Microsoft will no longer allow the @biola.edu account to access it.

What Can I Do?

To resolve the issue, you will need to contact Microsoft Customer Support and request that they transfer ownership of the Office license from your @biola.edu account to a personal account (one not unaffiliated with Biola). You may need to provide them with proof of ownership of your Office license. https://support.microsoft.com/en-US
