Introduction

The Hoffman Conference Room, or HR Large Conference Room, is the room situated in upper Metzger between the HR Offices and the President's WIng. This hyflex space allows the users to perform meetings in person or hybrid with our latest equipment.

 

Instructions

How to Use for In-Person Meetings

  1. Locate the Crestron Mercury Unit (Triangular Unit).
  2. Find the HDMI, USB, and Ethernet cables, which are located in a cut-out in the middle of the table.
  3. Plug in the HDMI and Ethernet cables into the appropriate adapter or directly into your laptop.
  4. If an adapter is not present, please contact the IT Helpdesk at (562) 903-4740, and a technician will bring you an adapter as soon as possible.
  5. Tap the touch screen of the Mercury Unit and select Present.

How to Use for Hybrid Meetings

  1. Follow Steps 1-3 from "How to Use for In-Person Meetings."
  2. Locate the USB cable and plug it directly into your computer or the appropriate adapter.
  3. Tap the touch screen of the Mercury Unit and select Present.
  4. Sign into the correct meeting platform on your computer (e.g., Google Meet or Zoom).
  5. Ensure that the speakers/microphones are selected to 4798-Core-Nano and the cameras are selected to UT-VID 00K0629953 or Meeting Owl.

How to Connect Audio to the Room

  1. To connect the audio from your laptop to the system, ensure that both the HDMI and USB cables are plugged into your laptop.
  2. Once connected, locate the search bar (top left for Mac or bottom left for Windows) and search for Audio Output.
  3. In your audio output settings, ensure that Crestron is selected to use the room speakers. If you would like to use the Crestron Mercury or Owl Camera speakers, select Crestron Mercury or Owl Camera Speakers for audio output.
  4. If you are video conferencing, ensure that Crestron is selected for speakers and 4798-Core-Nano is selected for the microphone.
