How to Clear a Browser's Cache and Cookies

Purpose

This page is about how to clear a web browsers cache and cookies.

 

Instructions

Please note that clearing your cache and cookies will sign you out of all the accounts you are currently signed into

Safari

  1. Click on the Safari menu and select Settings.
  2. Select the Privacy​​ >  Manage Website Data > Remove All.
  3. Click the Remove Now blue button 

Chrome

  1. Click on the three dots on the top right of the browser window.
  2. Click Delete Browsing Data. 
  3. Select the Basic tab. 
  4. Set the Time Range to All Time.
  5. Delete Data. 

 

Firefox

  1. Click on the three lines on the top right of the browser window.
  2. Click on History.
  3. Click on Clear recent history.
  4. In the Time range to clear drop-down menu select Everything.
  5. Make sure the check boxes (related to Cookies, Cache and Active logins) are selected.
  6. Click the Clear Now button.

 

Edge

  1. Click on the three dots on the top right of the browser window and select Settings.
  2. Click on Privacy, search, and services.
  3. Click on Choose what to clear in the Clear browsing data now section.
  4. Make sure all check boxes are selected.
  5. Click on the Time range drop-down menu and select All time.
  6. Click on Clear now.

 

Internet Explorer

  1. Click on the gear icon on the top right of the browser and select Internet options.
  2. Click on the Delete button.
  3. Make sure the following two check boxes are selected and click the Delete button:
    • Temporary Internet files and website files.
    • Cookies and website data.
  4. Click Apply.
