How To Use Akindi

This page explains how to log-in to and use Akindi, the new test scoring solution at Biola University. 

Prerequisites: 

  • Before you can create bubble sheets, you need to create an Akindi account.
  • You must log-in to Akindi through Canvas to create your account.
  • This will also send your class roster information into Akindi.
 

Instructions

Before You Begin

  1. Log-in to canvas.biola.edu
  2. Open the course you want to use with Akindi.
  3. Select Launch Akindi from the left sidebar.
  4. Click the big Launch Akindi button

    • Clicking this button will sync the class roster for the selected course into Akindi.
    •  !  Note: If you want to use Akindi with multiple courses, make sure you "Launch Akindi" from each course in Canvas.
  5. If the "Launch Akindi" link does not appear in the left menu, see https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-12933 for instructions on how to make the "Launch Akindi" link available in your course's Navigation Menu.

How to Use Akindi From Start To Finish

  1. Log in to Akindi
  2. Create an assessment
  3. Create your answer key online
    • You can create your answer key online in Kindi, and modify it at any time (even after testing your students!)

  4. Print our your custom bubble sheets
    • You can print your Akindi bubble sheets to any printer or Bizhub on campus
    • Akindi Documentation
    •  !  Note: When using Akindi, you must print out bubble sheets for each assessment that you give. Each bubble sheet is QR coded for a specific course and assessment. Do not use the bubble sheets from one course or assessment with another
  5. Upload your student's tests
  6. View your results and data reports
  7. Review any errors
    • If your students forget to fill out their ID number, or mis-filled any bubbles, you can review the errors in Akindi

  8. Send the results to Canvas
  9. Email your students their grades
    • If you want, you can email students their grade directly from Akindi. You can choose to include a scan of their bubble sheet
